Philoptochos Chapter meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month in the Church Banquet Room.

The Philoptochos Chapter of "Agia Anna" of Annapolis, Maryland, meets and exceeds all expectations of the New Jersey Diocese and of the National Philoptochos.

Among our many fund raisers and projects, our mission continues to be a "Friend of the Needy".

Fund Raisers:

Philoptochos coordinates and sponsors coffee hour for memorials and other occasions; as well as provide Prosforo for all Divine Liturgies, Koliva and Artoclasia.  These items are made by members of our organization who donate their time and energy.  All proceeds collected go to Philoptochos.

An annual bake sale is held at our craft show in November.  Pastries are made by the members of our organization and sold at the craft show.  

Pastries are made and sold during the Christmas Holiday.  Our very own cook book is also sold at these events.  All proceeds go to Philoptochos.

Philoptochos sponsors The Annual Fashion Show in May.  A Part of the proceeds are donated to our favorite charity and the remaining profit is directed to the needs of Philoptochos.

We support our church needs by:

Offering coffee hour when needed after Church Service

Host to Sunday of Orthodoxy Luncheon

Provide brunch on Saturday of Lazarus to our community

Provide red eggs for the Anastasi and make arrangements to provide Easter flowers during Holy Week

Provide a Reception in honor of the Name Day Celebration of the Church

Donates and prepare most of the pastries for our Annual Festival

Provide a Reception in honor of our Chapter's Name Day "Agia Anna"

Put out a Community Christmas card and provide flowers to Church during the Christmas Season

Our Local Projects include:

 Assistance to Community members in need (amoung them being....sending a disabled parishioner to Summer Camp, offering coffee hours for memorials or providing a Makaria for a family in need)

Caring Network

Major Contributor and Sponsor of the Philoptochos Scholarship Fund, along with donations collected from the community, we provide scholarship money to our Community High School Graduates

Sponsor of Kali Parea for the seniors of our Community (provide lunch/entertainment on a monthly basis)

Lighthouse Shelter (provide 150-300 lunches once a month)

Fisher House, Veterans Affairs Medical Center (provide a meal once a month)

Sponsor Oratorical Festival in our Community

Breakfast with Santa for Needy Families in our local Public Schools (provide breakfast, Christmas stocking, gift certificate and gifts to siblings)

IOCC/OCMC Missions

Active Participants in the Children’s AGAPE Foundation of the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area

Campus Ministry for our Orthodox Students
